A mini-facelift–often referred to as a weekend lift—uses shorter incisions than a traditional facelift and thus is less invasive. It is an appropriate option for those individuals in their 40s and 50s who are beginning to developing signs of aging at the cheek or mid face level.

Mini face lifts involve a smaller S shaped incision around the ear– in front of the ear, around the lobule of the ear and ending in the crease behind the ear. Excess fat and tissue are removed, minor sagging is greatly reduced and the skin tightened resulting in a more refreshed appearance in the lower face.
The 1st week after surgery, you may experience some numbness or tenderness to the face and hairline. Light swelling or bruising may also occur but it is usually not as marked as in traditional facelifts and resolves in 2 -3 weeks. Most patients report only minor discomfort.
1) How long is the recovery for a Mini-Facelift?
Patients usually return to work in 7-10 days. Exercise and strenuous activity is to be avoided for 30 days.
2) How long until my sutures are removed?
Sutures are removed roughly 7-10 days after your surgery.
3) Are my incisions visible?
Incisions are not invisible but are very small and easily hidden.
