What is Buttock Augmentation?
Buttock augmentation is a body contouring procedure performed to provide additional fullness and definition to your buttocks region. Dr. Crispin uses the Brazilian butt lift technique in order to deliver beautiful, natural looking results with high levels of safety.
The Brazilian butt lift is a type of buttock augmentation in which fat cells are taken from a donor site using liposuction. Common donor sites include the hips, thighs, abdomen, and lower back. These fat cells are then injected into the gluteal muscles to promote a more defined, contoured appearance. The procedure requires anywhere from 90 minutes to half a day, depending upon your specific plan and anatomy.
Am I a Candidate for Buttock Augmentation in Atlanta?
Candidates for butt augmentation should have clear goals for their appearance and enough fat in other parts of their body to achieve those goals. You need to be in generally good health, and you should either be a nonsmoker or willing to quit for a few weeks before and after the procedure.
In the days leading up to your buttock augmentation procedure, you’ll also need to avoid alcohol and medications that can thin the blood, like aspirin and ibuprofen.
How Long will I Need for Buttock Augmentation Recovery?
Ask a friend or loved one to accompany you for the first 24 hours of your recovery since you’ll need to rest and avoid putting pressure on the treated area. For a period of time following your surgery, there will be some bruising and swelling that will fade as you heal. We’ll prescribe medications to help control pain and make you more comfortable during your recovery period.
You can most likely walk within a day, but you’ll need to avoid strenuous activities for at least two or three weeks following surgery. Sleeping on your side can help remove pressure from the buttocks and aid the healing process. You’ll also need to wear a special compression garment for a few weeks to ensure that your treated areas heal properly and maintain the contour that Dr. Crispin has created.
